11th International Accordion Days in Prague – Czech Republic

The 11th International Accordion Days in Prague competition and festival will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from October 30th to November 2nd, 2025

The main goal of the event is to keep and develop a strong tradition of accordion playing in the Czech Republic, building on the European festival of accordion orchestras in Prague. The competition is organized by CTA Agency Prague in partnership with the Czech Accordion Association.

This year there are 116 soloists registered, with ensembles and orchestras, a total of 230 participants from 11 countries will take part in the event.

The festival will begin with an opening concert on October 30th, in the hall of the Museum of Applied Arts. Other events include a Gala concert, and a competition with soloists and orchestras, with a concert of award winners.

Soprano Straordinario
  • October 30th at 9pm – Opening concert at the Exhibition Hall of Upmrum with performances by Czech Accordion Ensemble (CZ) , Duo Khortysia (DE), Duo München (DE) , Family Duo (SE) and the Szczecin Accordion Band (PL)
  • October 31st from 8.30am – Competition categories from 0 to III at the Prague Conservatory Concert Hall
  • October 31st at 12pm – Concert – Silke D´Inka – New Compositions for Accordion Orchestras
    Andreas Nebl – Lecture: Ensemble Playing as the highest Form of Human Interaction
  • October 31st 2pm – Announcement of results Cat. 0. – II.
    2.30pm – Competition of category IV.
    Announcement of results Cat. III.
    5.30pm – Competition of category VII. – 1st round
    Announcement of results Cat. IV.
    8pm: Gala Concert
    Program: Soprano Straordinario performed by Miroslava Časarová (soprano), Ladislav Kozderka (trumpet) and Ladislav Horák (accordion)
  • November 1st at 8am – Competition of category V. at the Prague Conservatory Concert Hall
  • November 1st at 12 midday – CD Presentation: Domenico Scarlatti – Sonatas (Andreas Nebl), Musica Danzante (Jiří Lukeš)
    1pm – Competition of category VI. (Organ Hall)
    1pm – Competition of categories VIII. – XII.
    5.40pm – Announcement of results Cat. V. – VI.
    6pm – Final Concert – category VII. – 2nd round
    8.30pm – Competition results, award ceremony, performance of festival winners
  • November 2nd at 10am – Accordion Youth concert of talented Czech and German accordionists in cooperation with Czech – German Symposium held at Libeň Castle
