The 16th Alpine Harmonica Competition will be held at Flachauer Gutshof in Salzburg, Austria on October 4th and 5th, 2024.

The competition is for diatonic harmonica or Styrian harmonica players from all Austrian provinces, from Bavaria and South Tyrol, organised by the Salzburger Volksliedwerk and the Musikum Salzburg.

There will be four age groups:
Age group 1: 8–12 years
Age group 2: 13–16 years
Age group 3 over 16 years
Age Group 3S for Harmonica Students

and four categories
A. Soloists
B. Duos
C. Improvisation
D. Spontaneous song accompaniment

The event will conclude on October 5th with a Certificate Ceremony at the Gutshof Hall at 5pm, followed by a festive evening from 7.30pm.
