The Accordion Society of Australia (ASA Victoria) is thrilled to announce the 3rd Accordion Festival, a vibrant celebration of music, unity, and community. This year’s festival, which will be held on September 13th and 14th, 2025, promises to be an unforgettable experience, bringing together performers, players, and enthusiasts from all walks of life at the heritage-listed Kensington Town Hall in Kensington, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The event will feature:

  • Gala Concert on September 13th, with Melbourne’s own Stiletto Sisters and Gusto Gusto
  • Concert on September 14th with TangoMundo featuring Guillermo Anad (viola), Faye Bendrups (piano/voice), and Anthony Schulz (accordion) along with The Prahran Accordion Band, Hills Accord, ASAVO, and the ASA massed orchestra. For the third year running, this concert will be a true celebration of local talent and community spirit.

These concerts are set to be the heart of the festival, offering attendees a chance to experience the rich, emotive power of accordion music performed by some of the best musicians from around the country.

The festival will also feature a series of carefully curated workshops designed to cater to all skill levels. Whether you are new to the accordion or an intermediate player seeking feedback, there is something for everyone. Workshops will cover a range of topics, including Beginner classes, Zydeco, Tango, Euro Accordion in Ensemble, Accordion repair, Alexander Technique, a Masterclass, and more.

The ASA massed orchestra will perform as part of the afternoon concert on September 14th. Musical director and conductor Judy Gunson will present musical arrangements of hit songs of the 1960s and 70s.

Participation is open to all with a variety of parts available that cater for beginners through to intermediate players.
