
The 26th Internationales Akkordeon Festival 2025 began on February 22nd, 2025 and will run through to March 16th, 2025 with the theme “Femoso” (a play on words from femme – woman and famos – great).
This year’s festival has featured women on the accordion, with the opening of the event dedicated to two exceptional accordionists:
*Anne Niepold (Belgium) who performed accompanied by a string quartet in the Ehrbar Hall on February 22nd.
*Johanna Juhola (Finland) who presented her program “Reaktori” in the Theater Akzent on February 23rd.
In total, over 120 artists from almost 20 different countries will perform at the festival.

March 8th at 3pm: Workshop – Die Harmonika zur Hand – und auf zum Tanz! (The harmonica at hand – and let’s dance!) in Vienna.
March 8th at 8.30pm: concert by the Lea Gasser 5tet in Vienna (group features Lea Gasser on accordion)
March 10th at 7.30pm: concert by Vienna Tschuschenkapelle in Vienna (group features Mitke Sarlandziev on accordion)

March 11th at 7.30pm: sold out concert
March 12th at 7.30pm: sold out concert
March 13th at 8.30pm: concert by Marko Živadinović (accordion) and his band who will present their latest project “Handmade”
March 14th at 7.30pm: sold out concert
March 15th at 3pm: Children’s workshop in Vienna
March 15th at 7.30pm: Concert by Attwenger – duo of Hans-Peter Falkner (accordion & electronics) and Markus Binder (drums & electronics)
March 16th at 3pm: Silent film matinee
March 16th at 7.30pm: Sold out final concert by Landstreich Plus (Krzysztof Dobrek on accordion)
