The Deutsche Harmonika-Verband (DHV) invites all accordionists to the 3rd German Accordion Youth Orchestra Competition and the 7th German Ensemble Competition (3. Deutscher Akkordeon-Jugendorchester-Wettbewerb und 7. Deutscher Ensemble Wettbewerb 2017) to be held on 27th May 2017 in Düsseldorf.

These competitions are for accordion youth orchestras and ensembles, chamber music and duos, are intended to motivate a lot of young instrumentalists to make music, collect new experiences and provide a framework for good performances in amateur music.

Target groups are orchestras and playgroups, chamber music groups and duos from clubs, music schools, youth music schools and also general schools and informal collectives.

This competition is organized annually and changes venue each year to a different federal state of Germany. For 2017, the Städtische Clara-Schumann-Musikschule, Düsseldorf (capital of North Rhine-Westphalia state) is the local organizer of the event, supported by the organisation team of the Deutsche Harmonika-Verband (DHV) Headquarters.
