Registrations are now open for the 4th Carinthian Harmonica Competition, which will take place in Carinthia, Austria in June 2025.

The aim of the competition is to promote Carinthian folk music and search for the best harmonica player in the province and for the public presentation of high-quality folk music in Carinthia.

The competition is for young, talented harmonica players aged 16 and over, with their main residence or place of birth in Carinthia as well as students of the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music in Klagenfurt.

The final will take place on June 7th, 2025 as part of the “Strohmaier-Kirchtag” at the market square in Weitensfeld in the Gurktal and will be broadcast live on Radio Kärnten.

Registrations close on April 30th, 2025.
