The 5th Alluminous Light Art Festival will be held at the Weerwater in Almere, Netherlands from October 9th to 18th, 2026, in the evenings from 7pm to 10.30pm.

Alluminous is the free ten-day light art festival of Almere during the autumn holidays and features artworks, music performances, food trucks, kids challenge and fun. The walking route around the Weerwater will be transformed into a magical world full of light, art and technology.

The Black Pencil Ensemble will give a one-off live performance at the Synthetic Woods light installation, on October 18th, 2026 at 9pm. “Inspired by a composition by Aart Strootman, Black Pencil and light artist Dirk Lentz transform the Lumière forest into a journey through time and space. Music forms the architecture of the walk: precise and rhythmic, yet also tangible and immersive.”

This music can be heard every evening at the light installation Synthetic Woods, leading up to the live performance.
