The course is aimed at both adults and young people with experience in accordion playing, who will play together in small groups up to the whole ensemble.

The 5th Winterberg Accordion Summer Course (Winterberger Akkordeon Sommerkurs – WAS) will take place at the Haus Astenblick in Winterberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany from June 25th to 29th, 2025, organised by Miroslaw Tybora.

The event will feature concerts with guest performers, Orchestra and Ensemble Management workshop with Helmut Quakernack, a cinema night with the Finnish film “Soundbreaker”, publisher Augemus from Essen, accordion maker Wolfgang Bratz will check instruments and make any required repairs, as well as an internal competition, in which each participant is a member of the jury.

Guest accordionists include the TOAEC Duo (Netherlands) who will perform on June 28th at the Borgs Barn in Winterberg.

The rehearsal schedule includes the “Italian Concert” by Curt Mahr with soloist Jiri Vesterling and the “Bolero” by Maurice Ravel edited by Gergana Wlatchkov.
