This year’s annual St Audries Bay Accordion Week takes place from July 4th to 11th at the St Audries Bay Holiday Park in Somerset, England, organised by the dynamic duo of Sammie Peckover-Mitchell and Lisa-Lee Leslie. The event includes daily accordion orchestra workshops, evening concerts when anybody can volunteer to perform spots, master classes, private lessons from the teachers, a ceilidh on the Wednesday evening, and a grand finale concert. There is also an accordion trade show presented by Lisa-Lee Leslie.

All the accordion activity (including the trade show) takes place in the main complex, which includes the reception, bar, restaurant, games room, and large ballroom – the hub of the workshop orchestras. Entertaining in the bar each evening is the inimitable Harry Hussey. Nearby there’s also a swimming pool, sauna, tennis court and bowls.

The Accordion Week at St Audries Bay began in 1988, and was originally organized by the late Malcolm Gee. It had a large and loyal following until the Covid pandemic of 2020 closed the event down. In 2023 it was revived, and it is now re -building its support.
