The Folk Music Spectacle will be held in Regen, Bavaria, Germany from May 21st to 25th, 2026. Over 200 groups will entertain at the festival venues throughout the city centre such as on various open-air stages, in the spa gardens or in musician-friendly inns. A large number of performance groups include accordionists.

In addition, “the numerous workshops, dialect readings, an international folk music fair, information stands of associations and institutions, dance events, open singing, a large arts and crafts market, musically designed church services and devotions and much more are an incentive to come to Regen and experience lively folk culture up close!”

The event is “dedicated to the traditional regional music culture in all its manifestations. Since 1998, it has taken place every two years around Pentecost in the district town of Regen in the Bavarian Forest. Singers and musicians from Bavaria and the surrounding area present their regionally specific music in a wide variety of events. Everyone is called upon to get involved and actively participate. The applause of over 50,000 visitors is the reward for this.”
