Michał Stochel Wins “Eurovision Young Musicians” International Music Competition – Armenia

Accordionist Michał Stochel has won the 22nd “Eurovision Young Musicians” International Music Competition, held at the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Yerevan, Armenia on June 6th, 2026

This “marks a significant moment for Armenia, as it is the first time Armenia has hosted this competition.”

The competition featured 11 countries, each sending a gifted musician aged between 12 and 21 to showcase their skills. The diverse range of instruments and musical pieces “promised a captivating evening for viewers and the esteemed international jury.”

Michał Stochel (Poland) performed Concerto Classico, 3rd movement by composer Mikołaj Majkusiak. He competed against finalists on a variety of instruments from Armenia, Germany, Cyprus, Belgium, Serbia, Switzerland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Latvia and Sweden.
