Vincent van Amsterdam is honoured to receive the Dutch Music Award (Nederlandse Muziekprijs). The award is the highest recognition for a classical music musician, awarded by the Fonds Podiumkunsten / Performing Arts Fund on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

This is the first time in the 43-year history of the Dutch Music Prize that the prize is awarded to an accordionist.

Vincent van Amsterdam will be presented with the award at a special Avrotros Vrijdag concert by the Nationaal Jeugdorkest, led by Otto Tausk, in TivoliVredenburg Utrecht on January 24th, 2025.

On November 16th, 2024, Vincent will perform “Angel”, a composition for accordion and string orchestra, alongside the Ludwig orchestra at the November Music Festival held at the Grote Kerk in Den Bosch ( ‘s-Hertogenbosch), Netherlands.
