The 2025 Federal Accordion Orchestra (Bundesakkordeonorchester – BuAkkO) conducted by Silke D’Inka will perform their 15th Anniversary Concert at the Neues Museum (NMN) Modern Art Museum in Nuremberg, Germany on February 16th, 2025.

“Since its founding in 2010, the Federal Accordion Orchestra (BuAkkO) with its more than 40 musicians has been one of the leading interpreters of new original music of this versatile instrument.”

Their program will include a wide range of pieces including the Firebird Suite (by Igor Stravinsky from 1919), in a version set for accordion, as well as two world premieres as follows:

“The Kingdom” by British composer and accordionist Ian Watson, with whom the orchestra has been closely associated for years.

A new work by Nuremberg composer Stefan Hippe. “His “Toccata in D” was commissioned by the Federal Accordion Orchestra in honour of Fritz Dobler, one of the outstanding conductors and composers for accordion orchestra, who died in September 2024 and was a mentor and companion for many musicians in his field.”

Admission is free.
