The association “Haupoz”- Euskal Herriko Akordeoi Elkartea / Basque Association of Accordion Players are the organisers of the X International Accordion Composition Competition Francisco Escudero.

The results of the 2017 competition were:
1st = Prize
Title: For the Birds (accordion and violin)
Composer: Shanae Ishida (Japan)
Prize: 1,000 Euro and the work published
1st = Prize
Title: Una Noche en El Jardin Del Neon (accordion, violin and cello)
Composer: Francisco Uberto (Argentina)
Prize: 1,000 Euro and the work published
2nd Prize
Title: Ritual III (solo accordion)
Composer: Daniel Alvarado Bonilla
Prize: 500 Euro
Special Jury Mention
Title: En Passant des Passants (accordion and saxophone)
Composer: Philipp Christoph Mayer (Germany)
Prize: Performance of Work
