CNIMA Accordion Orchestra Workshop – “Tribute to Claude Thomain”- France

The CNIMA directed by Nathalie Boucheix, have organised an Accordion Orchestra Workshop – “Tribute to Claude Thomain” tutored by with Aline Lacour. This will be held from August 11th to 15th, 2025 in France.
- Content: Development of a concert program featuring works by Claude Thomain, a French composer, conductor, and accordionist renowned for his rich yet accessible compositions. In-depth work on orchestral playing under the direction of a conductor.
- Instructor: Aline Lacour is an accordionist, conductor, and music education teacher. Trained in piano and accordion from an early age, she studied with Claude Thomain and furthered her training at CNIMA, which introduced her to major international accordion competitions. Holder of a DEM in accordion and the CAPES teaching certification, she combines artistic practice, teaching, and orchestral conducting with both rigor and sensitivity.
- Prerequisites: Each participant must record and send a video of a performed piece, so that the conductor can assign parts and voices based on individual skill levels before the start of the course. Participants must study and prepare the musical parts provided by the conductor prior to the beginning of the workshop.
