Ian Lowthian will hold a ” Funky Music Weekend” for accordionists and mixed instruments in Ettrickbridge, Scottish Borders, Scotland on August 23rd and 24th, 2025.

Ian says: “Bands like ‘The Average White Band’ and ‘Tower of Power’ have shaped the way I play now, so I thought it would be fun to play around with some of the more funky grooves found in Funk, Jazz and even Pop Music. We may even funk up some jigs and reels.”

This is a live event, but players can also join on Zoom.

All instruments welcome and so far there will be accordions, drums, electric bass, fiddles and a guitar.
