2025 Accordion Symposium by accordeon.ch – Switzerland

September 12th 2025
Christine Johnstone

The 2025 Accordion Symposium organised by accordeon.ch will be held at the Villa Dreilinden in Lucerne, Switzerland on November 22nd, 2025.

This year’s symposium “will be dedicated to various possibilities of repertoire selection and related issues in its presentations and a discussion. The focus is on individual lessons as well as ensemble and orchestral playing.”

“Literature used in the classroom must do justice to various aspects of the training: it is important to inspire the learners, to meet their demands and wishes and at the same time to challenge them appropriately in terms of their development. In addition, repertoire traditions are to be maintained and passed on to future generations. And just as important is the further development and updating of the catalogue of original pedagogical works for an up-to-date and fresh approach to the instrument.”
