Over the weekend, we were informed of the sad passing of Marco Cinaglia.
Following in italics is the Curriculum Vitae that was released at the time Marco Cinaglia received the CIA 2014 Honored Friend of the Accordion Award.
“Marco Cinaglia was born in Italy( Ascoli Piceno) in 1961. He studied Accordion and Organ at the Ascoli Piceno G.Spontini conservatory under AnnaMaria Pirozzi. He worked at Roland Europe factory in Acquaviva Picena – Italy since January 1990.
(Marco worked at Roland Europe factory in Acquaviva Picena, Italy starting in January 1990.) During his first years of work in Roland Europe, he was considerably involved in the development of the Roland arranger series: E-96, G-800, G-1000, VA-7, VA-76, E-50, E-60, G-70, E-80.
Since 2003 he fully dedicated himself to the development of V-Accordion products.
As he has always firmly believed in the value of the V-Accordion products, he has steadily worked hard among the Roland staff members who conceived and promoted the organization of the V-Accordion Festival.
He has actively worked in the promotional activities of Roland’s V-Accordion instruments aimed at unconditionally spreading the value of the accordion instrument worldwide.“
He worked as the V-Accordion Product Manager in the Marketing Division in Roland Europe.
Apart from accordion world, he plays in a band and written music for small theatre companies.
Now he works as a music consultant and he is following new research and developments in the digital accordion environment.“

Marco Cinaglia was then involved in 2020 with the development of the Roland Digital accordion Project Manager presso PROXIMA Digital Accordion Srl.
