Nihad Hrustanbegovic New Album, New Projects – Netherlands

Nihad Hrustanbegovic has his next concert on Sunday 14th of September, at the Filmhuis in Zevenaar. The concert title is: ‘20 Years in The Netherlands’.

Nihad Hrustanbegovic was asked by the Dutch record company Zefir Records to record ‘The Four Seasons’ of Antonio Vivaldi on accordion and preparations are now in full swing. The album with Nihad’s transcription of The Four Seasons, will be released on the 1st December 2014 and will also include works by Bach, Pachelbel and Albinoni.

Following the release of ‘The Four Seasons’, will be a number of promotional events to take place in Europe during 2015/16.

Another project is soundtracks composed by Nihad Hrustanbegovic for a documentary titled ‘The Animal Farm’. This is a documentary by Jack Janssen who is known for films “The price of heaven” (nomination Prix Europa 2012), “Aya Sofya Amsterdam” and “Fairuz – We loved each other so much”. The Animal Farm will be released in 2015.

Also accordion soundtracks composed by Jorrit Kleijnen and played by Nihad Hrustanbegovic are being recorded for the new TV series “Taart” (Cake) by Tallulah Hazekamp Schwab. ‘Taart’ will broadcast every Sunday at 9.00 am, at Ned 3 from the 7th September.

‘Taart’ is an ode to love and imagination. The story is about 8 year old Kadir, who wants to become a pole traveler. He knows everything about penguins and he has an indestructible perseverance. His father Umut is the best confectioner in the world, but since his wife passed away, he is always sad. Kadir tries everything to make his father happy again. When father and son move to a village, where nobody wants Umuts beautiful cakes, Kadir knows what he should do: Get everyone to eat cake!
