
Accordionist Martina Jembrišak has released her new album “Echoes of Croatia: Accordion Adventures”. This “unique musical project takes listeners on a journey through four decades of Croatian classical music for accordion.“
“The album features works composed between 1984 and 2024, providing an insight into the rich technical and sonic diversity of this instrument. It includes compositions by renowned Croatian composers (Ivo Josipović, Davor Bobić, Miroslav Miletić, Helena Skljarov, Gordan Tudor, Adalbert Marković), each bringing a unique story through specific harmonic and rhythmic elements.”
“The recording took place at the Chapel of Our Lady of Sljeme – Queen of Croats, whose exceptional acoustics add a unique dimension to each tone, sound, and harmony. This album was produced with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.”
Martina Jembrišak “was awarded the prize Ivo Vuljević for the best young Croatian musician in 2020.”
Echoes of Croatia: Accordion Adventures is available on all digital platforms for streaming and download. The physical edition will be available from December 23rd, 2024.
