The website for the Accordion Society of Australia’s (ASA) Accordion Festival 9^th – 10^th November has been launched.

The ASA Gala Concert on Saturday evening (7pm to 9:30pm) will feature performances by Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki from Poland and the Melbourne Tango Orchestra. This event promises a captivating blend of international and local talent.

Sunday’s concert (3:30pm to 5:30pm) will honor the ASA Lifetime Achievement Award, featuring performances by ASAVO (ASA Orchestra), Prahran Accordion Band, ASA Massed Accordion Orchestra, and Vardos.

Workshops on Saturday include sessions such as “Your First Accordion Lesson” by Lucy Riddett, “Inside the Ensemble” with Iwo Jedynecki & Karolina Mikołajczyk, and a special jazz workshop by George Butrumlis on playing jazz standards.

Sunday’s workshops feature Festival Director Anthony Schulz’s free masterclass, Sofia Chapman’s exploration of Rroma music techniques, Guy Bellman’s session on accordion repair and tuning, and Peter Anderson’s workshop on playing Irish and Scottish dance tunes.
