“Black Pencil” will perform live music at the Suburbian Summer Zanger Zonder Volk held at the Stadsboerderij Almere in Almere, Netherlands from July 9th to 20th, 2025.

The event is the second production in the Suburbian Summer series entitled Zanger Zonder Volk, a music theatre piece by Giovanni Brand, which explores the safe yet closed world of travelers — an ode to all forms of illiteracy.

The evening will begin with a three course dinner beforehand, where the audience will sit outside, but covered in the large open barn.

The production will then begin, with the Black Pencil ensemble diving into the “rich cultural heritage of the Roma community. Themes, melodies, and ostinato patterns blend with pop songs, all with Black Pencil’s unique touch.”
