The 2025 Day of Early Music Festival will be held at Goede Rede in Almere Haven, Netherlands on May 17th, 2025 beginning at 11am.

This day is all about music from the period 1000 to around 1750, with small and large concerts, workshops, fascinating stories about the music and the instruments. A day for all lovers of early music and for everyone who wants to get to know it!

The Black Pencil ensemble has been asked to provide the opening of the 2025 event this year.

The ensemble will perform parts of their new program “Baroque à la Folk” which “delves into the intriguing connections between baroque music and the rich traditions of folk music from different cultures. A program that sparkles with virtuosity, emotion and surprises. A celebration of how folk music not only influenced the baroque masters, but continues to fascinate and move today.”
