Live and online accordion competitions will be held in Cape Town, South Africa as part of the Cape Town Eisteddfod 2025 Festival.
The Cape Town Eisteddfod was established in 1903. It is the most recognized festival in Cape Town and runs every year showcasing talent in five separate categories.
Their “aim at the Eisteddfod is to promote local arts and culture, inspiring people of all ages to learn, progress and pursue their talents in the Arts.”

Age group competition categories for both live and online accordion competitions will be available for soloists, duets, trios, quartets, ensembles and orchestras.
Online accordion competition:
Online entry closing date is: March 28th, 2025
Closing date for videos: April 30th, 2025
Results available from: May 31st, 2025
Prizegiving: October 2025
Live accordion competition:
Adjudication for live performances will be arranged at various
schools in Southern and Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa.
Live entry closing date is: 1st June, 2025
Live adjudication: 1st to 31st August, 2025
Prizegiving: October 2025
