Klaus Paier, Austrian accordionist/bandoneonist/composer, seems full of musical ideas just waiting to be performed and recorded. He has recorded several CDs with Asja Valcic (Silk Road in 2013, Timeless Suite in 2015, Vision for Two in 2019, Fractal Beauty with Valcic in addition to Stefan Gfrerrer & Gerald Preinfalk in 2021, Cinema Scenes in 2018 with Valcic, Gfrerrer & Roman Werni in 2018, and with Florian Dohrmann in Inspired Rendezvous in 2023).
But 2023 finds him recording View to Horizon with Camerata Sinfonica Austria, a group of 22 string and wind players, and Conductor Davorin Mori. All repertoire is composed and arranged by Paier and is in a more classical style than the previously mentioned jazz recordings.

You will appreciate this recording! It has been said in the liner notes that Klaus Paier immerses himself more sensitively than anyone else in the sound of his bandoneon and his accordion. Awaken from Dreams is described as sultry, Sunset is opulent, and Paier awakens all emotions with pensive lyricism to a wild storm of melody. He uses both his accordion and the bandoneon with the orchestral instruments in the best possible manner with fine technique and musicianship throughout.
