South African accordionist, Christiaan Ras is currently preparing to attempt the World Guinness Book of Records Accordion Marathon record.

To reach the world record he needs to play at least 81 hours continuously.

His attempt is planned for December 26th, 2025.

Current Record:

The longest marathon playing accordion is 80 hr 53 min 28 sec, and was achieved by Christelle De Franceschi (France), in Hergnies, France, on 22nd June 2024.

This is Christelle’s third time achieving this record and she improved on her previous time by over 5 hours.
