
At the 2026 Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Winter Congress in Italy was approved the CIA Merit Award for Anatoliy Gaissin – Kazakhstan, nominated by the Kazakh National University of Arts, Kazakhstan.

From 1978, after completing his assistant internship, he began his professional career in Kazakhstan, in the Dzhambul region. He taught at the Children’s Music School named after Dina Nurpeisova. A.M. Gaisin’s concert activity was also prominent; he became a soloist with the Dzhambul Regional Philharmonic. As part of groups of Kazakhstani master artists, he performed in various countries around the world – the GDR, South Korea, and Iraq.
He appeared in concerts not only as a soloist but also as an accompanist for E. Serkebayev, B. Tulegenova, A. Dnishev (now People’s Artists of the USSR), N. Usenbayeva (People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan), and others. His repertoire includes works by composers such as: J.S. Bach, J. Haydn, F. Schubert, O. Schmidt, M. Glinka, P. Tchaikovsky, A. Borodin, Kurmangazy, Dauletkerey, Ykhlas, G. Zhubanova, and others.
In the 1990s, Anatoliy Gaissin was the Chairman of the Association of Bayanists and Accordionists of Kazakhstan, which at that time was a member of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA). Anatoly Mubaryakzyanovich is the author of many arrangements and transcriptions for accordion bayan, including arrangements of famous Kazakh kyuis: Kurmangazy’s “Adai,” “Balbraun,” Dauletkerey’s “Koragly,” and Ykhlas’s “Erden kui.” They are often performed by accordionists not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad.
A. Gaissin is the co-author, with D. Tuyakbaev, of the fundamental work “Progressive School of Bayan Playing,” published by Oner. Since 2012, A. Gaissin has been the tireless organizer and artistic director of the annual International Festival of Bayan and Accordion in Almaty.
He is a professional musician and an excellent educator with extensive work experience. He is frequently invited to serve on the juries of various international competitions in Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Italy, Slovakia, and other countries.
The CIA Merit Award will be presented to Anatoliy Gaissin at the 2026 Coupe Mondiale in Astana in August.
