Collectivo is a ground-breaking chamber music company where every concert is a unique masterpiece. Unlike traditional chamber music series, Collectivo is not a fixed ensemble but a vibrant collective that brings together the finest national and international soloists, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving roster of world-class talent, with a particular spotlight on showcasing the finest talents from Australia and New Zealand,
Collectivo proudly unveils a new cross-Tasman initiative that has never been done before in the arts and is set to redefine the classical music scene with its innovative approach and exceptional artistry.
Inspired by the home of the Queensland Ballet, the inaugural concert titled “The Dance” will showcase a program of vibrant, dance-inspired works that pulsate with rhythmic vitality, exhilarating virtuosity and seductive emotions with classical works by Vivaldi, Wieniawski, Ravel and Monti alongside the fiery Latin-flair of Piazzolla, Franck Angelis and Pedro Iturralde.
Featuring: Artistic Director Tania Frazer OAM (oboe), Amalia Hall (violin), Johnny Van Gend (violin), Alexander McFarlane (viola), Rachel Siu (cello) and Grayson Masefield (accordion).
Artistic Director and Oboe virtuoso, Tania Frazer OAM said “Every concert by Collectivo is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to witness the pinnacle of musical artistry. Our vision is to create extraordinary performances that captivate and inspire, presenting a repertoire that spans the classical and contemporary, performed by a “collectivo” of soloists at the top of their game. Each event is meticulously curated to highlight the exceptional talents of our artists, ensuring that no two performances are ever the same. We are thrilled to announce our debut performance on Saturday 2nd November, 2024 at 1.30pm at the Queensland Ballet’s stunningly beautiful Thomas Dixon Centre in West End.”
