The “Days of Semberija in Austria” showcased Semberija’s cultural heritage, contemporary art, economic potential and local products. The programme ran from September 22nd to 27th across Vienna, Graz and Tulln, organised by the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Austria, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Austria and the Semberija Cultural Centre from Bijeljina.

Semberija’s rich musical tradition had a prominent place in the programme. It was presented by accordionists Djordje Perić and Dušan Sekulić with his band, the Serbian Singing Society “Srbadija” and the Serbian Cultural and Artistic Society “Semberija” from Bijeljina.

Djordje Perić, winner of the Senior Virtuoso Category at this year’s Coupe Mondiale in Astana, Kazakhstan, demonstrated the immense stage experience he has already gained at a young age, eliciting thunderous applause and enthusiastic acclaim from the audience at all three concerts.
