Duo Aspera, which includes Ghenadie Rotari (accordion) and Valentina Vargiu (piano) will perform two chamber music concerts this month as follows:

• October 25th, 2025 – concert at the Kulturforum Amriswil in Amriswil, with Swiss violinist Livia Loewe-Berchtold. “The focus will be on the musical dialogue between three instruments, whose timbres are rarely heard in this instrumentation – from the warm breath of the accordion to the tonal breadth of the piano to the expressive voice of the violin.”

“Their program leads through the music of the 20th and 21st centuries and spans a wide range of influences and styles: Astor Piazzolla’s passionate tangos, Arvo Pärt’s spiritual soundscapes, Petri Makkonen’s energetic Moldavian rock and other works.”

This concert is supported by the Kulturpool Oberthurgau and the TKB Jubiläums-Stiftung. Admission is free of charge

• October 26th, 2025 – Tango in Trio Concert at Schloss Wartegg (Wartegg Castle) in Rorschacherberg with Swiss cellist Thomas Berchtold. “The focus is on tango in all its diversity – full of passion and energy, fine and lyrical at the same time.”

The trio will “combine international experience, artistic versatility and regional ties. In their interplay, they create unusual timbres, open up new perspectives on chamber music and create an evening that combines musical virtuosity with cultural depth.”
