On March 21st, the internationally acclaimed accordion duo Two Bellows—Aleksandar Kolovski and Anna Kolovska—delivered an inspiring performance at the Sparkassen Lounge in Neunkirchen, Austria.

Kolovski and Kolovska, who formed the duo in 2018, captivated the audience with their charisma, masterful technique, and expressive musical interpretations. The pair presented a program that combined original works for the instrument with inventive transcriptions of timeless classics.

The concert was part of a long-standing concert series initiated by Herbert Scheibenreif in 1980, which has become a celebrated platform for world-class accordion performances.

Since its inception, the series has hosted a remarkable lineup of accomplished artists, including Vladimir Dolgopolov, Aleksandr and Vitaly Dmitriev, Frédéric Guérouet, Friedrich Lips, Frank Marocco, Jean-Marc Marroni, Elsbeth Moser, Trio PSP, Sergey Osokin, and Klaus Paier, among many others. It has gained widespread recognition for featuring both celebrated soloists and distinguished ensembles, consistently drawing audiences with a passion for high-calibre performances.

Their Neunkirchen concert marked the beginning of a three-date Austrian tour, which continued on March 22nd in St. Andrä im Lavanttal, March 23rd at the historic Albeck Castle & then concluded at Graz, Harmonikazentrum.

Aleksandar Kolovski, a former student of Frédéric Deschamps, and Anna Kolovska, who studied with the legendary Yuri Shishkin, have each won numerous prestigious international competitions. Both artists completed their advanced musical education at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz.

Having previously performed at major festivals in China, the USA, Australia, Russia, Italy, Macedonia, and throughout Europe, Two Bellows continues to build a reputation as one of the leading duos in the classical accordion world. Their performances are a testament to the expressive power and versatility of the accordion in the hands of two outstanding musicians.
