The Ensemble Black Pencil will perform at “Day of the Composer”, held at NPO Klassiek in Podium, Netherlands on June 20th, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm.

This day “celebrates the importance, value and joy of contemporary music by contemporary composers. Top musicians will play side by side with amateurs – young and old at this fifth edition. Music from hundreds of active composers in the Netherlands, played by musicians all over the Netherlands.”

Guests Black Pencil will play four works by Dutch composers, including the premiere of “Shard” by Renske Vrolijk. Other works are:
