Beijing, September 28 — The acclaimed Fantasía Duo, featuring accordionist Xu Xiaonan and pianist Xu Gehui, will perform Amazing Tango at Mong Man Wai Concert Hall on September 28th.

The concert will feature a thrilling blend of classic and modern tango pieces by composers such as Jacob Gade, Astor Piazzolla, Richard Galliano, and Carlos Gardel, alongside works by Igor Stravinsky and Petri Makkonen.

Xu Xiaonan, associate professor at the Central Conservatory of Music and the first doctor of accordion at the institution, has won numerous prestigious awards, including the 10th China Music Golden Bell Award and first place at the 2012 Coupe Mondiale. He has performed internationally, released multiple solo albums, and, in 2023, co-released Tribute to Classics with Xu Gehui as part of the Fantasía Duo.

Xu Gehui, a highly awarded pianist and lecturer, has performed with leading orchestras worldwide and recently released her solo album Dance on the Keys. She has won top prizes at international competitions and has performed across Europe, the United States, and Japan, collaborating with orchestras like the Finnish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Gdansk Symphony Orchestra. Her solo album, Dance on the Keys, has garnered global recognition.

Together, Xu Xiaonan and Xu Gehui create a unique fusion of tango and classical music, offering an evening of passion and technical brilliance.
