After the overwhelming success of GhostTrack (2011) and LIGHT (2016), which set audiences in the Netherlands, Europe and Indonesia alight, LeineRoebana, in collaboration with the Black Pencil Ensemble, presents the third part of their Indonesia trilogy: Farewell Future Welcome World. A boundary-crossing
encounter between Indonesian and Western traditions.

The premiere will be held on January 23rd, 2026 at the Chasse Theatre in Breda, Netherlands, followed by a national tour in early 2026.

The performance weaves the dance art of LeineRoebana together with the threads of Indonesian classical and contemporary dance, the sounds of Black Pencil, the driving sound world of the Sundanese gamelan and the ingenuity of composer Iwan Gunawan.

The result: a fiery plea for the binding power of dance and music. Choreography by Harijono Roebana. Featuring Indonesian dancers and the gamelan ensemble Kyai Fatahillah. A performance about identity, past and future.
