Ghenadie Rotari will perform at the newly-born interdisciplinary festival “Waaghaus wagt” in Waaghaus, St. Gallen, Switzerland on September 6th, 2025 from 8pm, organised by Sinfonietta Sankt Gallen.
Ghenadie will perform “an evening full of contrasts and timbres” with violinist Elena Neff Zhunke and cellist Pierre Deppe in an exciting program with works by Ravel, Runchak, Piazzolla and Fromageot.
Their program will begin with Maurice Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Violoncello (dedicated to the late Claude Debussy), followed by Le Grand Tango by Astor Piazzolla – a fiery dialogue between classical music, jazz and Argentine passion.
Two contemporary works round off the evening:
- Kyrie Eleison by Volodymyr Runchak (Ukraine) for accordion and violin
- Tangophony by Stéphane Fromageot (St.Gallen), composed especially for the trio – a musical greeting to Piazzolla.
