The Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) was founded by three countries (France, Germany and Switzerland) in Paris in 1935 and in 1975 the CIA became the first instrument specific organization to be accepted into the International Music Council (IMC) which is the largest non-governmental division of UNESCO.
Below is a very complimentary letter of congratulations sent by the International Music Council (IMC) President Sheila Woodward to the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of its founding.
