
The Kammerton Accordion Festival, a youth-focused event dedicated to showcasing the versatility and talent of young accordionists, is set to return to Stockholm from October 3rd to 6th, 2024. This annual festival highlights the rich possibilities of the accordion, both as a solo instrument and in ensemble settings, while also promoting emerging artists from around the world. The Artistic Director is Leo Florin.

The 2024 edition promises an exciting lineup, featuring four diverse concerts spotlighting acclaimed Swedish musicians alongside rising young accordionists from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Czech Republic, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ukraine, and China.
The festival will also host the KAF Academy 2024, offering masterclasses led by five distinguished guest teachers: Ladislav Horak from the Czech Republic, Jörgen Sundeqvist from Sweden, Slavisa Peric from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Tiina Välja from Estonia, and Reijo Ahonen from Finland. These sessions provide invaluable opportunities for young musicians to learn from and interact with these accordion experts.



The highlight of the festival will be the Gala Concert on October 5th at the Queen Silvia Concert Hall. The performance will feature a dynamic program including works by Saint-Saëns, Lundquist, Piazzolla, Semionov, Schaffer, and even iconic hits by ABBA.
This year’s festival will bring together dozens of young talents and esteemed artists like Janne Schaffer and Anders Paulsson, two of Sweden’s most celebrated musicians.

October 3rd: Pre-Festival Concert at Farsta Gård at 6pm. Free entry.
October 4th: Masterclasses with Tiina Välja (EST), Jörgen Sundeqvist (SWE) and Ladislav Horak (CZ) from 12 midday to 2pm.
October 4th: Orchestra rehearsal from 2.30pm to 4pm.
October 4th: Opening Concert at Zätasalen ABF Stockholm at 6pm.
October 5th: Masterclasses with Tiina Välja (EST), Jörgen Sundeqvist (SWE) and Ladislav Horak (CZ) from 10am to 1pm.
October 5th: Workshop from 2pm to 3pm.
October 5th: Gala Concert with Janne Schaffer and Anders Paulsson in Queen Silvia Concert Hall at 5pm.
October 6th: Masterclasses with Tiina Välja (EST), Jörgen Sundeqvist (SWE) and Ladislav Horak (CZ) from 10am to 12 midday
October 6th: Student Concert at Katasalen ABF Stockholm at 1pm. Free entry.
