Accordion players looking to improve their skills have a new resource available: the TECHNIQUE FOR ACCORDION Intermediate Course, which has officially launched. This course includes a variety of exercises designed for Piano, Button, Standard Bass, and Free Bass systems. It is the latest installment following the BASE course in the same series.

Renzo Ruggieri, the course creator, is a renowned jazz accordionist and the teacher at Conservatorio G. Braga in Teramo, Italy.

The course is the culmination of 40 years of experience in teaching accordion students, yielding important results across various skill levels. By focusing on repetitive practice of small, targeted technical challenges, this method helps players streamline their finger movements and achieve faster learning outcomes with reduced study time. Even with minimal daily practice, students can expect to see significant improvements.

The exercises are tailored for different systems: piano keyboards (right-hand piano), chromatic keyboards (right-hand buttons, adaptable to chromatic free basses), and standard basses (left-hand, adaptable to free basses in fifths) and can be purchased on Amazon.

On October 11, at Castello di Comano in Massa, Italy, Renzo Ruggieri will present his new project centered around Giacomo Puccini. This unique performance will feature solo accordion, enhanced with both acoustic and digital multi-effects, offering an innovative take on the legendary composer’s works.
