The “Nordic Notes” concert is the first in a series created by Karoline Skriver (composer and musician) and accordionist Asta Soffia Thorgeirsdottir. During 2026, they will travel to the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway to collaborate with various Nordic poets to create new works.

Their concert will be presented on March 14th, 2026 from 7pm at the Turkis (venue) in Aarhus, Denmark.

Poet Liv Ea will “recite her beautiful poems in brand new works written for accordion, electronica and precisely Liv’s voice and lyrics.”

“Liv Ea’s voice weaves in and out of the music, played by accordionist Asta Soffia Thorgeirsdottir (Iceland), and a common and equal space arises between poetry and music.”

The concert will be followed by an artist talk at 8.15pm, a facilitated exchange between artists and audience regarding the Nordic tone of language and music.

This concert is part of the Festival of the Century 2026.
