NOVAM (Nederlandse Organisatie Voor Accordeon en Mondharmonica) & ArtEZ will hold a series of Improvisation Workshops at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands with tutor Rik Cornelissen. The first in the series will be held on October 7th, 2023 from 11am to 3pm.

The workshops will cover “topics such as improvisation, memorization, hearing, rhythm, groove, chords, accompaniment, solos, articulation, … for different musical styles such as tango, Latin and jazz.”

Basic requirements are that you know the note names, appropriate fingering and enjoy a challenge in making music “by ear” instead of reading sheet music.
