The Orkney Folk Festival are excited to announce that they have been nominated in the “Event of the Year“ category at the 20th MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.

The Orkney festival is entirely volunteer-run and they are delighted to receive this recognition in their 40th anniversary year.

Voting is now open if you’d like to show your support.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 2nd, 2023.

Entertainers at the 2022 festival included: Skerryvore (accordionists Daniel & Martin Gillespie), The Chair (accordionist Bob Gibbon), Peter Wood Shetland Dance Band (accordionist Peter Wood), Talisk (concertina player Mohsen Amini), and Tannara.
