AWW sadly reports the passing of Mary Tokarski on February 20, 2026. Mary Tokarski was a renowned solo concert accordionist, a member of the highly regarded K Trio, a former U.S. national champion and many times a US delegate and jury member to the CIA Coupe Mondiale (World Accordion Championships). Mary was also a past president of the American Accordion Association (AAA) from 2015 – 2018.

Mary made many important contributions to the accordion world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate the life of Mary Joan Kasprzyk Tokarski will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Aldersgate Methodist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m., two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to The Mary and Frank Tokarski Musical Arts Fund, a foundation very near and dear to Mary’s heart.
