The Regional Competition for Young Performers took place on March 5th and 6th at Tarco- Sale, a small town located in Yamal region of Russia.

Alexander Selivanov was Chairman of the Jury, alongside Moscow pianist Professor Denis Chefanov and violinist Alexey Mayevsky. Picture above of Alexander Selivanov presenting prizes.

The competition had about 200 participants from the ages of 6 until 15. Alexander Selivanov also gave master-classes for young local musicians,  and during the closing concert played on stage together with young talented accordionist Denis Koptelov. Picture below.

The  final piece of the concert  was the famous ‘Frescos’ for Bayan and Orchestra by Viatcheslav Semionov, performed by Alexander Selivanov and Denis Chefanov.
