The 16th Akkordeon Musik Preis (Accordion Music Prize – AMP), the youth competition for accordionists up to 27 years of age, organised by the German Harmonica Association (Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. – DHV), took place in Ettlingen, Germany from May 10th to 12th, 2024.
Ettlingen Castle offered excellent conditions for a total of 160 participants. The competition was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the State of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann. For three days, the teenagers and young adults in different line-ups and categories faced the 13 judges from all over Germany and Switzerland and performed music at the highest level.
