The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) held a successful Summer School from July 28th to August 1st, 2025 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Tutors Djordje Gajic, Paul Chamberlain and Valerie Barr led an intensive and inspiring five-day course for musicians aged 12-17.

The course was designed to help develop and strengthen technical and musical skills, through knowledge of repertoire and healthy practice habits. Students took part in daily warm-up sessions, technique classes, individual lessons, ensemble playing and performances.

Students also learnt about accordion manufacturers, great accordionists and what life is like as a full-time music student at a Conservatoire.

On the final day of the course participants took part in an informal sharing for friends and family.
