The Accordion Noir Festival, after a two year hiatus, will present a free entertaining program in Maclean Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on September 8th, 2024 featuring jazz from Taras Luka, roots from Jack Garton with Kathleen Nisbet, and “squeezebox insanity” from the Dirty Bellows band.

Festival Program:

2pm to 2.50pm: Taras Luka is a Ukrainian jazz accordionist now living in Vancouver who has performed at this year’s Vancouver Jazz Festival and at many of the local jazz clubs.

3.05pm to 3.55pm: Galiano Island accordionist Jack Garton (Maria in the Shower, Demon Squadron) joins up with Strathcona fiddler Kathleen Nisbet (Viper Central, East Van Opry).They recently returned from a tour of Ireland and the UK.

4.10pm to 5pm: Dirty Bellows is a 4 piece Vancouver band playing mashups of popular hits and old-time classics.

The festival is a co-production of the Accordion Noir Festival and MacLean Park Music.
