‘The Accordionist’, the acclaimed new music theatre show written and performed by accordionist Romano Viazzani and singer Bethany Jameson finished touring in April 2011.

Reviewers and audiences alike loved the music, which was half Edith Piaf classics (‘Milord’, ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien’, ‘La Vie En Rose’, ‘Padam, Padam’, ‘La Foule’, and ‘L’Accordéoniste’) and half new songs, including the showstopper ‘Just Her Younger Man’ and the heart wrenching ‘Life Story’ and ‘Separation’.

The music from ‘The Accordionist’, recorded by Romano Viazzani and Bethany, has been released, and well received.

Romano and Bethany are now collaborating with the experienced and highly successful dramatist John Foster, whose screenplay credits on TV and the theatre in the UK are impressive. They are developing ‘The Accordionist’ further, ready for a second tour next year. A rehearsed reading of the first scene at Salisbury Arts Centre on July 17th showed the potential of the piece to a highly appreciative audience.
