Video: Accordionist Fernando Ávila premiered the latest composition for solo accordion by Faruk Mehić, entitled “Morning Waltz” op. 5 no. 4, at the Church of St. Antun of Padova in Bihać, Bosnia & Herzegovina on August 24th, 2024.

“Morning Waltz Op. 5 no. 4 is a composition for solo accordion that musically depicts the morning ambience. Singable melodies, precise form with tonal harmonic language evoke that idyllic ambience. In addition, the composer imaginatively uses registration and percussive elements on the accordion, which additionally contributes to the idiomatic writing for that instrument.”
