The VII Krakow Accordion Festival will be held in the Main Building of the National Museum in Krakow from October 13th to 20th, 2024.

Program of events:

October 13th: Opening concert. Magdalena Kulig (mezzo soprano), Piotr Lempa, Ewelina Zawi ,lak, Maciej Zimka , Wiesław Ochwat. Their program will include works by Cornelius Mahler.

October 14th: Intermediate Day. Workshop of Graphic scores “Plazyka”
Hosted by: Christmas Bob-Dyga, Mateusz Dudek.
Intermediate Concert by Wiesław Ochwat, Piotr Peszat, Trio Layers, Lab Group Collective. Their program includes graphic scores created at the “Plazyka” workshops, Schaeffer, Peszat

October 15th: XI Concert of Accordion Pieces including the world premier of a chamber composition by Anna Sowa for two accordions, two contrabass clarinets and electronics with the Duo Accosphere (accordion duo), Michal Gorczynski and Julian Paprocki (clarinets) as well as accordionists Olo Stachowski and Wieslaw Ochwat.

October 16th: Solo concert by Krzysztof Madyda (accordion) with a program of Bach, Berio and Aaquist music.

October 17th: Chamber concert “Four Seasons” by Trio Itinera Mundi (Italy) Gianluca Campi (accordion), Marianna Menesini (cello) and Laura Lanzetti (piano). Program of works by Vivaldi and Piazzolla.

October 18th: Movie day. New Accordion Quintet (Grzegorz Palus, Alena Budziňáková, Mateusz Dudek, Krzysztof Madyda, Maciej Zimka – accordions) will provide an improvisation music concert for a silent film: Doctor Caligari’s office (1920)

October 19th: Accordion Day in the Galician Town and the Ethnographic Park Judicial in Nowy Sacz includes an accordion workshops for children, teenagers and adults with festival artists Grzegorz Palus (UMFC Warsaw) and Maciej Zimka (AMKP).

Chamber concert in the Catholic church in the Skansen area by Eric Courréges (cello – France) and Sébastien Mazoyer (accordion -France) with a program of works by Vivaldi, Bach, Schubert & Piazzolla.

Chamber concert in the evangelical choir in the Skansen area by Duo Accosphere (Alena Budziňáková-Palus & Grzegorz Palus) with works by Grieg, Ravel & Trojan.

October 20th: Final Concert includes Agnieszka Malaty Agska-Stankiewicz (lecture).

Painting with sound from the music of Leonardo da Vinci to Alexander Scriabin’s piano of light colors, with Peter Schmidt (trumpet) and Espen Leite (accordion – Norway).
