VIII Pécsi Accordion Festival

The VIII Pécs Accordion Festival began on October 21st and will run through to October 27th, 2024 in Pécs, Hungary.

The Three Roses Trio performed at the Escargo Chamber Theatre on October 22nd. The trio, which consists of Dominika Borsos (accordion), Fanni Mákszem (violin) and Eszter Muhari (piano) performed popular Argentinian tango pieces and more serious works by Astor Piazzolla.

Future concerts as follows:

October 25th from 6pm: Artyom Nyizsnyik will perform at the Ferenc Liszt Music Festival Hall. Entrance is free of charge.

October 26th from 9pm: József Balogh will perform a “French Touch” concert in the Nappali Bár. Entrance is free of charge.

October 27th: Gala Concert at the Kodály Center. Performers include the Himesház Harmonica Orchestra, the Bólyi Harmonica Ensemble, the Baranya County Youth Harmonica Orchestra, made up of accordion students from the county, the Percussion Project from Pécs and Péter Solymosi, the lead trumpeter of the Pannon Philharmonic, performing solo and with accordion ensembles during the evening.

This concert is organized by the Baranya County Accordionist Association, with the support of Zsolnay Örökségkezelő Nonprofit Kft., and the Pécs County Municipality.
